In a post shared on his social media account, Presidency's Director of Communications Fahrettin Altun said, "Under the leadership of our President, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, we have accomplished a lot in many fields, from health to transportation, from the defence industry to education. We have made enormous progress in our region and throughout the world for our lovely country. What we have done assures what we will do in the future."
Director of Communications Altun’s post also includes a video highlighting the investments.
The video provides examples of investments made over the last two decades in transportation, health, education, economy, sports, social aid, and counterterrorism.
In this regard, the video highlights that in two decades, Türkiye has constructed 27 thousand 500 kilometres of divided roads, increased the number of airports from 26 to 56, built 17 city hospitals with 22 thousand 604 beds, and ranked first in Europe and seventh in the world in vaccination rates. The budget for education has been increased from 10 billion to 211 billion liras. The number of universities has grown from 76 to 207, and the capacity of higher education dormitories has been quadrupled to 729 thousand beds.
According to the video, the number of sports facilities has increased from 1,575 to 3 thousand 907, forest areas have increased from 20.8 million to 22.9 million hectares, and 5.5 billion new saplings have been planted.
The video also states that the country's economy has grown three times, exports have climbed six times, the Central Bank's reserves have expanded from $27 billion to $122 billion, and Türkiye has become one of the world's top ten agricultural countries.
Social aid climbed from 2 billion liras to 69 billion liras, with a total of 431 billion liras provided between 2002 and 2021, according to the video.
It is reported that foreign energy dependency has been reduced, natural gas has been delivered to 81 provinces, and the share of renewable energy in power generation has risen to 60%.
According to the video, which also highlights activities conducted in the Blue Homeland, Türkiye’s first floating storage and gasification unit has been launched in İzmir, followed by the second one in Hatay, and a natural gas deposit of 540 billion cubic metres has been discovered.
The video also states that almost 20,000 terrorists have been neutralised in the last six years, and recruitment to the terrorist organisation has ceased.
Domestic and national projects such as Anka, Bayraktar, Akıncı, Gökbey, Atak, Hürkuş, Milden, and the Altay tank are also highlighted in the video, which stresses that the budget for defence projects has grown from $5.5 billion to more than $75 billion.
The video ends with the words, "What we have done assures what we will do in the future."
