As part of the "Turkic Council Media Forum" hosted by the Presidency's Directorate of Communications with the theme "Deep-rooted Past, Strong Future", digital exhibitions dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the independence of the Turkic Republics have been opened.

President of the TRNC Ersin Tatar, Assistant to the President of Azerbaijan Hikmet Hajiyev, Presidency's Director of Communications Fahrettin Altun and Turkic Council Secretary General Baghdad Amreyev, as well as delegation members from Türkiye, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, TRNC and Hungary, and representatives from the world of media, communication and academia, are attending the forum, where President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan addressed the participants via video message.

As part of the forum, digital exhibitions dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the independence of the Turkic Republics have been opened with the participation of Tatar, Hajiyev, Altun and Amreyev.

"The next era will be the era of the Turkic World"

In a statement to reporters following the opening ceremony, Director of Communications Altun said, "Our media forum is a significant step towards eliminating injustices in the digital and conventional media, for the Turkic World to tell the whole world about itself, and to combat disinformation against the Turkic World, within the framework of 'A fairer world is possible' approach expressed clearly by our President."

Altun stated that they hoped to strengthen not only interstate relations, but also relations and links between public opinions, between the Turkic World and the Turkish nation, and explained that since the private sector's presence was so vital at this point, they received contributions from the private sector and successful figures in the media industry who have done outstanding work.

Stating that, as President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has always expressed, first and foremost, the state of the Republic of Türkiye is fighting for the welfare, unity, development and peace of the Turkic World, and they will continue to do so, Altun said, "Hopefully, the Turkic World's future will be stronger as a result of the wealth that lies beneath in its roots; the next era will be the era of the Turkic World."

Altun expressed his gratitude to members of the press for their attendance and kind interest to the forum, as well as to the TRNC President Ersin Tatar for his participation.
