President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and Prime Minister Mohammed Shia' Al Sudani of Iraq signed the "Framework Agreement on Cooperation in the Field of Water Policy between the Republic of Iraq and the Government of the Republic of Türkiye" and the "Memorandum of Understanding on Strategic Framework," while 24 cooperation agreements were signed between the two countries in various fields.
Following the meeting between President Erdoğan and Prime Minister Sudani of Iraq at the Government Building in Baghdad, 26 cooperation agreements to be implemented between the two countries were signed.
During the signing ceremony, the "Framework Agreement on Cooperation in the Field of Water Policy between the Republic of Iraq and the Government of the Republic of Türkiye" and the "Memorandum of Understanding on Strategic Framework" were signed by President Erdoğan and Prime Minister Sudani of Iraq.
Nuh Yılmaz, Chairman of the Centre for Strategic Research and Hussein Mansour Al-Safi, Dean of the Foreign Services Institute of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Iraq, signed the Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation between the Centre for Strategic Research of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Türkiye and the Foreign Services Institute of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Iraq.
President of the Foreign Economic Relations Board (DEİK) Nail Olpak and President of the Federation of Iraqi Chambers of Commerce Abdulrazaq Al-Zuheere signed the Memorandum of Understanding between DEİK and the Federation of Iraqi Chambers of Commerce.
The Memorandum of Understanding between the Directorate of State Archives of the Presidency of the Republic of Türkiye and the National Library and Archive of the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Antiquities of the Republic of Iraq was signed by Director of State Archives Uğur Ünal and Director General of Cultural Affairs of the National Library and Archive Prof Dr Alaa Abu Al Hassan Ismail at the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Antiquities of the Republic of Iraq.
The Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation in the Field of Islamic Affairs between the Presidency of Religious Affairs of the Republic of Türkiye and the Sunni Endowment Diwan of the Republic of Iraq was signed by President of Religious Affairs Ali Erbaş and President of the Sunni Endowment Diwan Prof Dr Mishaan Mohi Alwan.
Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation in the Field of Media and Communications signed
Presidency's Head of Communications Fahrettin Altun and Head of Communications and Media Commission Dr Ali Hussein Al-Moayad of the Republic of Iraq signed the Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation in the Field of Media and Communications between the Government of the Republic of Türkiye and the Government of the Republic of Iraq.
President of the Defence Industries Agency Haluk Görgün and Chairman of the Defence Industries Commission Mustafa Ati Hassan of Iraq signed the Memorandum of Understanding on Strategic Cooperation in the Field of Defence Industries between the Presidency of Defence Industries Agency (SSB) of the Presidency of the Republic of Türkiye and the Defence Industries Commission (DIC) of the Republic of Iraq.
Minister of Foreign Affairs Hakan Fidan and Minister of Labour and Social Affairs Ahmed Jassim Al-Asadi of Iraq signed the "Memorandum of Understanding in the Fields of Employment and Social Security" between the Ministry of Labour and Social Security and the Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs of the Republic of Iraq.
Fidan and Al-Asadi also signed the Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation between the Ministry of Family and Social Services of the Republic of Türkiye and the Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs of the Republic of Iraq.
"Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation in the Field of Energy" signed
The "Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation in the Field of Education" between the Ministries of National Education of the two countries was signed by Minister of Foreign Affairs Fidan and Minister of Education Dr Ibrahim Namis Al-Jubouri of Iraq.
The "Memorandum of Understanding on Tourism" between the Ministry of Culture and Tourism and the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Antiquities of the Republic of Iraq was signed by Minister of Foreign Affairs Fidan and Minister of Culture, Tourism and Antiquities Prof Ahmed Fakak Ahmed of Iraq.
The "Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation in the Field of Energy" between the two countries was signed by Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Alparslan Bayraktar and Minister of Electricity Ziad Ali Fadel Al-Rzage of Iraq.
The "Memorandum of Understanding on Security Cooperation" between the Ministries of Internal Affairs of the two countries was signed by Minister of Internal Affairs Ali Yerlikaya and Minister of Internal Affairs Abdul Amir K. Al-Shammari of Iraq.
Minister of Internal Affairs Ali Yerlikaya and Minister of Health Dr Salih Mahdi al-Hasnawi of Iraq signed the Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation in the Field of Health and Medical Sciences between the Government of the Republic of Türkiye and the Government of the Republic of Iraq.
The Memorandum of Understanding on Military Training Cooperation between the Ministry of National Defence of the Republic of Türkiye and the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Iraq was signed by Minister of National Defence Yaşar Güler and Minister of Defence Thabit Muhammad Saeed Al-Abbasi of Iraq.
Güler and Al-Abbasi also signed the "Protocol on Training and Cooperation in the Field of Military Health" between the Ministry of National Defence of the Republic of Türkiye and the Ministry of Defence of the Republic of Iraq.
"Agreement on the Mutual Promotion and Protection of Investments" signed
Minister of Industry and Technology Mehmet Fatih Kacır and President of the National Investment Commission of Iraq Dr Haider Mohammad Makiya signed the Agreement on Mutual Promotion and Protection of Investments between the two countries.
Minister of Industry and Technology Kacır and Minister of Youth and Sports Dr Ahmed Mohammed Al-Mubarqa of Iraq signed the Memorandum of Understanding for Cooperation in the Fields of Youth and Sports between the Ministries of Youth and Sports of both countries.
The Memorandum of Understanding between the Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises Development Organisation of the Ministry of Industry and Technology of the Republic of Türkiye and the General Directorate of Industrial Development of the Ministry of Industry and Minerals of the Republic of Iraq was signed by Minister of Industry and Technology Kacır and Minister of Industry and Minerals Prof Dr Khalid B.
