President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan spoke by phone with President Edgars Rinkēvičs of Latvia.
The call addressed the Türkiye-Latvia bilateral relations as well as regional and global issues.
President Erdoğan voiced his pleasure over hosting President Rinkēvičs of Latvia in Türkiye on the occasion of the NATO Ankara Summit.
President Erdoğan expressed his wish that the decisions taken at this historic NATO Summit, whereby the allies’ spirit of solidarity was clearly demonstrated, will lead to auspicious outcomes.
President Erdoğan said Türkiye attaches great importance to the security of the Baltic region as well within NATO, and that has intensified its contributions to that end.
President Erdoğan stressed that he would like the cooperation between Türkiye and Latvia to be further enhanced in a wide range of areas, especially defense industry.
