Head of Communications Duran: “Israel’s unrestrained expansionism is unacceptable!”

Presidency's Head of Communications Burhanettin Duran reacted in a post on his NSosyal account to Israel’s resumption of its activities in Syria’s Quneitra Governorate.

In his post, Head of Communications Duran stated:

“Israel’s resumption of activities along the so-called ‘Sufa 53 Line’ in Syria’s Quneitra Governorate constitutes yet another violation in blatant disregard of international law and the 1974 Agreement on Disengagement.

This reckless conduct, which continually escalates tensions in the region and seeks to expand the occupation, is unacceptable. Israel must put an end to its violations on Syrian territory and immediately withdraw from the areas it occupies.

The international community’s silence in the face of Israel’s unrestrained expansionism is unacceptable. It is now a moral imperative for international initiatives to take concrete steps to uphold the law and safeguard regional stability.

Under the leadership of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, Türkiye will continue to resolutely defend Syria’s sovereignty, political unity and territorial integrity.”
