According to a statement released by the Directorate of Communications of the Presidency of the Republic of Türkiye, President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan of Türkiye spoke by phone with President Masoud Pezeshkian of Iran.
During the call, Erdoğan said he was pleased with and welcomed the recent agreements that Iran and the United States had reached. President Erdoğan emphasised that Türkiye stands ready to provide all necessary support to help ensure that this process concludes peacefully.
The President also pointed out the need for heightened vigilance against any actors seeking to sabotage negotiations between Iran and the United States.
Stating that in the new period it is crucial to take concrete steps to strengthen regional peace, Erdoğan added that Türkiye will continue to make efforts in this direction.
Regarding bilateral cooperation, President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan indicated that Türkiye would continue to take active steps to further deepen and expand its pragmatic cooperation with Iran in the fields of trade, finance, and energy.
