Following the transition into the Presidential System of Government, which is the biggest reform in the history of the Republic of Turkey, the President established his cabinet and submitted to the discretion of our nation.
Our ministers, who were included in the cabinet by our President, took an oath in the Parliament on July 10, 2018, and officially started their duties.
İstanbul Deputy Berat Albayrak, who was the Minister of Energy and Natural Resources in the previous government, took part in this cabinet, which is the 66th Government of our Republic, as the Minister of Treasury and Finance.
During a period when even developed countries are experiencing serious economic difficulties due to the coronavirus pandemic in addition to regional and political crises, Turkey has proceeded on its path with the least damage possible in this critical period with the efforts of Minister of Treasury and Finance, Berat Albayrak, and the achievements of our Minister have been appreciated by our President.
As known, on the evening of Sunday, November 8, 2020, our Minister of Treasury and Finance Berat Albayrak issued a statement via one of his social media accounts asking for his exempt from the post due to health reasons.
Upon an assessment by our President, the request made by Treasury and Finance Minister Berat Albayrak of his exempt from the post was approved.
Respectfully announced to the public.
