President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan appoints Dr. Çağatay Özdemir as Deputy Director to fill the vacant position at Directorate of Communications
The decision on the appointment was published in the Official Gazette today.
Having completed his PhD dissertation in the field of international relations, Özdemir has lectured on strategy studies, public diplomacy and Turkey’s foreign policy. Özdemir has also written a book titled “American Grand Strategy: Obama’s Middle East Legacy.”
Özdemir, who has been working for the Directorate of Communications since 2018, is fluent in English and married with one child.
