Erdogan, Putin discuss delivery of Russia’s Sputnik V COVID-19 vaccines

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin discussed the delivery of Russia's Sputnik V COVID-19 vaccines in a phone call on Wednesday, Turkey's presidential office announced.

Erdogan stated that he expects the shipment of the vaccines to be sent from Russia as planned within the scope of the agreement, the presidency said in a written statement.

Erdogan and Putin also addressed cooperation opportunities in the fight against the pandemic, steps to improve relations between Turkey and Russia, as well as regional issues during the phone conversation, according to the presidency.
