The statement circulating on social media platforms under the title “Regarding the Threats Made by Uganda’s Chief of Defence Forces, Muhoozi Kainerugaba”, bearing the emblem and letterhead of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Türkiye, is entirely fabricated.
The Turkish Embassy in Kampala has confirmed that no such statement or announcement has been published on the websites or official communication channels of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs or other relevant institutions. The fake document in question was fabricated using digital means and is intended to mislead the public.
The public is strongly urged not to give credence to such disinformation activities involving false information and fabricated documents, and to follow only the official communication channels of the relevant institutions of the Republic of Türkiye for official information.
