President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan met with Prime Minister Abdul Hamid Dbeibeh of Libya on the sidelines of the 5th Antalya Diplomacy Forum.
The meeting addressed bilateral relations between Türkiye and Libya, as well as regional and global issues.
During the meeting, President Erdoğan reiterated that no initiative in Libya can succeed without the ownership of the Libyan people, and emphasized the importance of advancing political processes through broad-based consultation and dialogue. He also reaffirmed that Türkiye will continue to support the process.
President Erdoğan stated that Türkiye will continue to take steps to enhance cooperation with Libya across all areas, and that both countries will continue to work together to safeguard their shared rights and interests in the Eastern Mediterranean.
Noting that Israel’s aggression targeting the entire region carries serious consequences for the whole world, President Erdoğan emphasized that Türkiye, together with brotherly countries, is working to ensure the continuation of the ceasefire in Iran and the establishment of peace.
