The Presidency’s Head of Communications, Burhanettin Duran, visited the stands of Anadolu Agency (AA) and TRT as part of the Antalya Diplomacy Forum 2026 and made statements.
The Forum, where AA serves as the “Global Communication Partner,” continues at the NEST Congress and Exhibition Centre in Belek, Antalya, under the main theme “Embracing Diplomacy in a Fragmented World.”
During his visit to the AA stand, Head of Communications Duran received a briefing on the Agency’s activities from AA Chairman of the Board and Director General Serdar Karagöz.
Duran also toured the “July 15 Memorial Room,” established within the stand area to mark the 10th anniversary of Democracy and National Unity Day, and expressed his appreciation to AA personnel for their efforts within the scope of the Forum.
“Here, the vision of our President — who states that ‘a fairer world is possible’ — is being realised.”
Head of Communications Burhanettin Duran also visited TRT's stand.
Making remarks there regarding the Forum, Head of Communications Duran emphasised the importance of the Antalya Diplomacy Forum 2026 at a time when the world is becoming increasingly complex, and uncertainties are on the rise.
Stating that Türkiye, under the leadership of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, has long sought to generate stability, security and economic cooperation in its surrounding regions, Head of Communications Duran said: “In this context, Türkiye is a country that is ready both to engage in mediation and to share the capacities it has developed — including in the defence industry — with its friends and allies, and it is already putting this into practice.”
Noting, however, that the world is being drawn towards an uncertain trajectory in which it remains unclear what kind of order will emerge, Head of Communications Duran continued:
“Since the pandemic, the Russia–Ukraine War, Israel’s genocide in Gaza, and most recently the war involving the United States, Israel and Iran have prompted the question of where the world is heading. As is known, a multipolar world is emerging, yet we do not know what kind of world this will be, nor how it will be aligned. In such a world, the discussions at ADF have brought together a wide range of issues — from technological competition to the energy crisis, climate challenges and other global matters — and I consider these discussions to be highly valuable.
Türkiye’s organisation of the ADF is, in fact, a reflection of the importance it attaches to diplomacy. In other words, all these issues can be resolved through diplomacy. We are foregrounding this concept, and representatives from across the world are able to articulate their views here. Here, the vision of our President — who states that ‘the world is bigger than five’ and that ‘a fairer world is possible’ — is being realised. From this perspective, Türkiye stands out not only as a central country at the crossroads of continents, but also as a country with strategic weight, a voice to be heard, and concrete contributions to offer.”
